The First Official Peewee Lynx HL Team!
The First Official Peewee Lynx HL team started off the season
strong with a win against Peterborough 1 (7-3).
Goals were scored by Danielle, Maisie, Sophia, Shabnam (2) and Ali (2). The biggest win (in our minds) however, actually occured in the 2nd game which resulted in a loss. The many wins included the“Hi 5’s" amongst the coaches (opposing and defending) as we applauded each other’s shooters who always gave it their best shot. Both teams also demonstrated their strong ability to listen and learn as they cleared the zone to avoid off side calls…. awesome job to our girls... Olivia, and Morgan. We were also two girls down this game so thank you Maisie and Shabnam for being flexible in your positions…. and KUDOS to our incredible D (Vanessa, Shabnam, Maddie and Mackenzie) who were amazing! And certainly….. not the last reason why we felt so rewarded… is that our goalie has only been suited up 5 times this year! 3 practices, and 2 games…..HOORAY TO BECCA!!!! Just a reminder that this is what it’s all about folks! Don’t forget the importance of fun and development in hockey…as these are the most important aspects of the game! Cheryl and Mark
