Do not EVER underestimate the power of a development league! The Peewee HL team has demonstrated incredible progress in their first year with the Lindsay Lynx!
Becca has shown amazing learning and perseverance in net…..Olivia and Morgan are now skating faster than most of our opponents and have only been on hockey skates for one season!!!! Anastazia and Sophia learned to raise the puck …….and Mary Violet (who is typically defense) proved that she is a force "to be reckoned with" on forward! Maddie established that you can give any position a shot and do well when you try your best (having successfully played D, forward and goalie) and Mackenzie, Maisie and Vanessa proved incredible "hockey sense" in their abilities to read the play and each other on defense! Daniele showed us that she is not as shy as one might think….and can play seriously aggressive in front of the net….and Shabnam and Allie have the ability to "wow the crowd" with their incredible skating, deking and shooting abilities.
If we sound proud…..you aren’t imagining things! We could not be more pleased with our team this year which included the most dedicated manager ever (KIM) trainer extraordinaire (GERALD) and on ice helpers BART and ROB. Our team was made even more incredible by all our parents who always ensured their kids attended practices and games (even when these were announced at the last minute).
