The girls headed to Oshawa this weekend starting the round robin with a tough loss to West Northumberland but bouncing back with a gritty 2-0 win over Aurora. They played the eventual round robin points leader Kemptville losing 4-0 in their 3rd game. With their backs against the wall they needed a big win over Georgina Saturday night. It was a parade to the penalty box with over 50 penalty minutes assessed but the Lynx came out on top with a hard fought 3-1 victory earning them a spot in Sundays Semi final match against Kemptville once again.
Not knowing how they would respond to an early morning game after not getting home till after midnight the night before the "Wildcats" put up a defensive gem coming away with a 1-0 win and a trip to the Gold medal game against Gloucester. The girls were pretty beat up after 5 tough games and left everything they had on the ice losing 4-1 and bringing home the silver medal. The coaching staff are extremely proud of the girls and can not wait to see what else they accomplish this season. Keep up the great work girls..
