Lynx Tag Day & Lindsay Fall Harvest Fest

The Lindsay Lynx will be conducting our annual Tag Day Fundraising Event Saturday October 21st at the following local business storefronts. Be sure to stop by the Lynx tent at the Fall Harvest Fest in Reid’s Square (Downtown Lindsay) where our teams and executive staff will be promoting Girls Hockey in our area!

Donations received by our Lindsay Lynx players on Tag Day directly support local girls hockey by helping to outfit our teams with new equipment & jerseys, assist with tournament & officials fees, and offsetting the growing costs of minor hockey each season.

LGHA TAG Day Guidelines for Teams

Managers/Coaches

• Divide participating team members between time slots/locations your team is assigned (usually 2-4 players at one location at a time)

• If your team is assigned the first time slot (8 a.m.) please arrange a time to meet Mona Lisa Routh by text or email to pick up money buckets & tags before Oct.21

• Mona Lisa Routh and other executive members (wearing a Lynx jersey) will travel between store locations to collect $ and check on our players

Players

• Please wear a Lynx jersey

• Dress for the weather, we recommend you wear layers (some stores require players to stand outside the store)

• Please be on time for your assigned time slot and please pass the buckets/tags on to the next set of players

• Be polite & courteous (e.g. “Would you like to donate to the Lindsay Lynx’s Hockey Association?”, “Thank you for your donation.”)

• If asked what the money raised goes towards (a few people ask each year); the money goes towards extra skills and offsetting referee and ice costs

• Offer a tag to those who donate

• Money can be stored in the buckets provided until an executive member comes to collect it

• Players assigned to the last time slot of the day please wait for an executive member to come and collect the money bucket and tags
