Lynx Celebrate 15 Years of Girl's Hockey
Submitted By rbrierley on Monday, April 21, 2014
The Lindsay Lynx celebrated 15 years of girl's hockey at the annual year-end banquet on Thursday, April 17th.

Along with the cheers and laughs that accompanied the many stories from the 2013-14 season, there were also some tears as we said goodbye to our 3rd year Midgets who now join the ranks of Lynx Alumni.   The evening was topped off with a special appearance by 5 time Olympian (4 time gold medal winner ) Jayna Hefford of the Canadian Women's Olympic Team.  Jayna both inspired and motivated the girls with her stories from the 2014 Sochi Olympics, and the long and hard road she endured getting ther to be a part of the gold medal-winning team.  She also stayed around for lots of pictures and autographs, and of course let all the girls see her Sochi gold medal!!  Thank you to the Lynx Executive and to Jayna for making this banquet a very special one for all of our girls.
