Atoms Take Gold at Green Mountain Challenge Tournament in Vermont
The girls of the Lindsay Lynx Atom B team made the long trek to the mountains of Vermont for the Annual Green Mountain Avalanche tournament. Our Girls had to dig deep against some tough opposition from the American girls in this round robin tournament.
With an amazing goal-tending tandem, the Lynx only gave up two goals in the entire tournament, and had two shut-outs. The forwards outworked the opposition with a non-stop barrage of fore-checking, and the defence might as well have been a brick wall. With a blue collar work ethic and a gritty style of play, our girls pressured the other teams into submission and captured the championship with four wins. Pitted against excellent teams from the USA, our girls defended the honour of the Lynx and demonstrated why this is OUR game.
