Bantam B Lynx Make their Presence Known at Ice kats Tournament
The Lindsay Lynx Bantam B team participated in the annual Peterborough Ice Kats Tournament Dec 4-6th. They dominated the Round-Robin by beating Toronto Leaside 4-1, Etobicoke Dolphins 3-1 and Wilmot Wolverines 5-1. The Lynx advanced to the elimination round against the Nepean Wildcats, winning with a shoot-out 2-1. Advancing to the semi-finals the Lynx were up against Haldimand River cats, #1 team in Ontario.
Both teams were playing hard and looking for a spot in the finals! The game was 2-1 in the third and with 6.4 seconds remaining the Lynx tied the game!! Battling it out and playing hard they played a 5 minute overtime period and a shoot out, the game ended 3-2 for the Haldimand River Cats. The River Cats moved on to finals and take home gold.
The Bantam Bs played hard and worked hard as a team. Congratulations girls on all your hard work and a great tournament!!
