Great Weekend for Bantam B
Submitted By LeAnn Donnelly on Monday, November 4, 2019
Our Lindsay Lynx Bantam B team were silver medalists in the West Northumberland Halloween Havoc tournament this weekend.

Friday we started off with a 3-3 tie against a physical Napanee team.  Our second game ended with a similar result against the host Cobourg team - a 2-2 tie.

These girls came out ready to play Saturday morning, and had a dominant 4-0 win against Barrie, putting us in first place!  After a fun team lunch, Saturday afternoon saw us facing off against Barrie again in the semi-final. It was a close one, but we clinched our spot in the final with a 2-1 win.

Sunday afternoon we headed to the gold medal game. After a 1-1 tie in regulation and a scoreless OT, it was down to a shootout. Our opponents from Cobourg were able to score one more than we were, and we came home with silver medals.

What a great weekend for these girls - undefeated in the round robin, lots of goal-scoring, awesome defence and tremendous goal-tending.  Way to go Bantam B!!!
