The Lindsay Lynx would like to
congratulate Eve Faulkner as the 2019-2020 recipient of our Graduating Player
of the Year Award!
Eve began her hockey career with the Lynx as a first year
Peewee player seven years ago. During her time with the Lynx she has shown
herself to be an outstanding player and a great asset to our organization. In
the words of her recent Coach Craig Shanks “
I
could not think of a more well deserving individual. This is based on your
hockey skills, your leadership qualities, your school work, etc. You have been
a pleasure to coach over the years and I wish you the best of luck. The Lynx
are certainly lucky and proud to have you as a graduate player.”In usual times our Graduating Player receives her award at our annual banquet and is given the opportunity to say a few words. Because of the circumstances in the current year and the cancellation of our banquet Eve has provided us with some words to share with you all.
“My experience with the Lindsay Lynx has been nothing but extraordinary. I have learned so many life lessons through the game of hockey that will stay with me as I move into the next stage of my life. On and off the ice, I have had the greatest support team. My coaches have not only taught me the ways of the game, but they have also taught me the value of leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. I want to thank my family, especially my father for giving me the opportunity to play the game that I love so much, and for showing me what true dedication and passion looks like. Without my coaches, teammates, and family, I would not be where I am today.”
Eve we are so proud of you. Congratulations and we wish you all the very best as you move on to your next steps!
