Our Lynx players are hitting the ice in October!
Submitted By Kim Vokins on Monday, September 28, 2020
All of our Lynx players, both house league and rep, will be hitting the ice in October!

From October 3-9 we will be conducting assessments, in order to divide our players into balanced teams.   These are NOT tryouts- tryouts are not currently permitted by the OWHA.

The OWHA will not permit 5 on 5 hockey at this stage, so teams will be smaller than usual this year, and our plan is to play 4 on 4 hockey amongst our own teams and a few neighbouring centers.

Rep and HL teams will not play against each other.

Final OWHA approval for this plan is still pending.

Please see  the link below for the Oct 3-9 schedule.

After Oct 9, once teams have been divided, you will receive a schedule for your player’s team for Oct.- Dec.  Teams will practice initially, and
will begin games if and when the OWHA allows.

The city will allocate more ice for Jan.-March later on in the season.

Although Covid-19 means we have to make a number of changes to our usual hockey program , we are confident that we can get our girls back on the ice, enjoying the game they love.  See you at the rink!
