Our Lynx players are hitting the ice in October!

All of our Lynx players, both house league and rep, will be hitting the ice in October!  

From October 3-9 we will be conducting assessments, in order to divide our players into balanced teams.   These are NOT tryouts- tryouts are not currently permitted by the OWHA.  

The OWHA will not permit 5 on 5 hockey at this stage, so teams will be smaller than usual this year, and our plan is to play 4 on 4 hockey amongst our own teams and a few neighbouring centers.  

Rep and HL teams will not play against each other. 

Final OWHA approval for this plan is still pending.  

Please see  the link below for the Oct 3-9 schedule. 

After Oct 9, once teams have been divided, you will receive a schedule for your player’s team for Oct.- Dec.  Teams will practice initially, and 
will begin games if and when the OWHA allows.

The city will allocate more ice for Jan.-March later on in the season.

Although Covid-19 means we have to make a number of changes to our usual hockey program , we are confident that we can get our girls back on the ice, enjoying the game they love.  See you at the rink!
