Applications are being accepted for the 2023 Lindsay Lynx Graduating Player of the Year Award.
The deadline to submit an application is April 20th 2023.
The Lindsay Lynx GHA will institute a Graduating Player of the Year program to recognize and reward commitment to hockey, community, and education. The program provides financial assistance to a graduating member of the Lynx for their post-secondary education to a maximum of $500.00 (dependent on funding availability of the Association as deemed by the Executive).
Every year the fund will reward an outstanding young woman who excels in the arena and the classroom and exhibit qualities of leadership and community. The recipients are determined based on their hockey and academic achievements as well as their community involvement. The winner of the award will be chosen by the Lindsay Lynx Executive. An Executive member with a Graduating player in their family is excluded from the selection/voting process.
The application and all required documentation must be submitted to the LGHA Executive no later than April 20th 2023 and the award will be announced during the year end Lindsay Lynx Banquet. A Review Committee will exist of appointed Executive Committee members and final award selection must be approved by the President.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be a current Lindsay Lynx player.
Must be playing in the final year of eligibility for the Lindsay Lynx Girls Hockey Association.
Must be enrolled to attend full time in either college or university for the upcoming calendar year.

Current copy of school transcript
A letter (1 page) outlining your contribution to hockey, involvement in the community, volunteer involvements and what hockey has meant to you.
Letter of program acceptance from your college or university on school letterhead.
Letter of reference from your coach, employer, volunteer coordinator or other appropriate individual.
