Lindsay Lynx Graduating Player of the Year Award
The Lindsay Lynx will institute a Graduating Player of the Year program to recognize and reward commitment to hockey, community and education. The program provides financial assistance to a graduating member of the Lynx for their post-secondary education to a maximum of $500.00 (dependent on funding availability of the Association as deemed by the Executive).
Every year the fund will reward an outstanding young woman who excels in the arena and the classroom and exhibit qualities of leadership and community. The recipients are determined based on their hockey and academic achievements as well as their community involvement. The winner of the award will be chosen by the Lindsay Lynx Executive. An Executive member with a Graduating player in their family is excluded from the selection/voting process.
The Application and all required documentation must be submitted to the LGHA Executive at no later than March 31st of the current year and the award will be announced during the year end Lindsay Lynx Banquet. Review Committee will exist of appointed Executive Committee members and final award selection must be approved by the President.
